Particularly the tendency of older generations to dismiss the opinions and values of younger generations as unimportant and trivial, due to their apparent immaturity. This may be (intentionally or not) a reflection of generation clashes (particularly between the Baby Boomer and X Generations, and the Millennial and Z Generations) currently occurring in society. Even some of Peter's teachers seem disinterested in the well being of the students, such as when the shop teacher responded to a loud noise with a (in-universe) scripted line, without even looking up.
